Social media such as Facebook and Twitter have gained popularity in the recent years and is a great way to stay in touch with family and friends. However, during a divorce or custody action, anything you post or that others post to your page, could be used by the opposing counsel against you. You should think before you post any comments or photos. Just remember that you should not post anything you would not want your Mother to see. You should consider shutting down your Facebook and Twitter account during litigation or when anticipating litigation. If you are going through a divorce or have custody issues, view the family law page on this website or contact our office to schedule an appointment with one of our family law attorneys, Stephanie Hupp and Sheri Burkholder. This is not intended to be used as legal advice or to establish an attorney-client relationship, but is solely for informational purposes.
