Motor vehicle accidents: 2 injured, 1 killed in late-night crash

On Behalf of McHenry Haszard Law | Nov 8, 2019 | Motor Vehicle Accidents

There may be a multitude of circumstances in which a driver could lose control of a vehicle and shift into oncoming lanes of traffic. Regardless of how it occurs, those who encounter a similar scenario may find it nearly impossible to respond quickly enough to prevent a crash. Motor vehicle accidents involving similar scenarios can have devastating outcomes. Two individuals were rushed to the hospital with injuries following a recent head-on crash in Nebraska.

According to reports, the incident took place just before midnight on a recent Friday. Law enforcement agents advised that an investigation into the crash determined that it occurred after a westbound vehicle suddenly crossed into the opposite lane of traffic. The vehicle proceeded to collide head-on with a truck and the impact of the crash forced both vehicles to veer off the road and roll over multiple times.

Although emergency responders were able to remove the driver who caused the crash from his vehicle, they say he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. Two others suffered injuries in the crash and both were reportedly rushed to a medical facility for treatment. Although the accident is under investigation, no further information was provided as to what might have caused the driver of the first vehicle to veer into oncoming lanes.

Those who suffer severe injuries in motor vehicle accidents may face a variety of challenges in life, physical and financial alike. If another party is deemed at fault, the victims of the crash could choose to consult with an attorney for guidance on their available options for legal recourse. This type of guidance could help a person in Nebraska better prepare to pursue the full amount of restitution entitled through a personal injury claim.
